United Thrivers Community Outreach VISTA
 
 
 
Founded in 2015, New Alpha Community Development Corporation's mission is to help communities of low- and middle-income families with environmental health and community economic development issues. We also strive to empower and emancipate people in our communities. We do this by addressing the issues of environmental justice, climate change, and community economic development, moving towards energy democracy and a just transition. The United Thrivers Community Outreach VISTA will assist us in decreasing health disparities and increasing healthy outcomes in low-income and minority communities in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina.

Member Duties : The VISTA member serving in the United Thrivers Community Outreach position will develop an outreach strategy, and create systems for tracking outcomes measurements and partner sustainability. Pilot curricula and systems to develop refined programs using rapid cycle improvement techniques (PDSA) to advance community health programs for sustainable implementation.
