United Thrivers Health Education VISTA

Founded in 2015, New Alpha Community Development Corporation's mission is to help communities of low- and middle-income families with environmental health and community economic development issues. We also strive to empower and emancipate people in our communities. We do this by addressing the issues of environmental justice, climate change, and community economic development, moving towards energy democracy and a just transition. The United Thrivers Health Education VISTA will assist us in decreasing health disparities and increasing healthy outcomes in low-income and minority communities in the Pee Dee Region of South Carolina.
