IYT - Communications and Events Associate VISTA
 
 
 
The Communications and Events Associate VISTA will work closely with the Events and Volunteers Manager in planning and implementing IYT signature and strategic events including graduation ceremonies, conferences, fundraising gala's and receptions as well as support in developing digital content to be utilized across digital and print platforms. Improve Your Tomorrow, Inc. (IYT) is a college access and completion organization focused on increasing the number of young men of color to attend and graduate from colleges and universities. IYT’s vision is a nation where young men of color are overrepresented in higher education, underrepresented in the criminal justice system and are leaders in their communities. IYT is an AmeriCorps partner organization serving over 3,500 members across more than 60 sites in Sacramento County, Yolo County, Central Valley, Bay Area and college students across the nation.

Member Duties : VISTA will work collaboratively with the Events and Volunteers Manager to plan and implement signature IYT events and create content for digital and print platforms. This position will enable individuals to grow their skills in graphic design using platforms like Canva, in project management, using Monday.com and in working with various departments and teams and vendors meet project goals.
