| Member Duties : The Education VISTA will help Grounds Krewe expand awareness in the New Orleans community about the need for environmental stewardship, waste prevention and recycling at special events and Mardi Gras parades. The VISTA will work to disseminate information regarding the existence, logistics and impact of Grounds Krewe’s waste prevention programming. They will also help inform the public about economic opportunities provided to low income business owners through the creation and sale of locally sourced, environmentally sensitive Mardi Gras parade “throws”.
