Satanka and Community Innovation Hub for Collaboration VISTA
 
 
 
Feeding Laramie Valley is dedicated to a community-led approach to tackling food insecurity in Albany County, Wyoming. The Satanka and Community Innovation Hub continues this mission through a local, on the ground effort, which places a specific focus on community voices. The VISTA will engage in a collaborative effort with community members and local partners in gathering data and narratives to help guide the creation and facilitation of the hub. This data will be used to identify needs, set goals and solidify the Satanka Food Hub as a resource in the community in cooperation and collaboration with community partners.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will focus on community outreach and collaboration as an educator and advocate for local food security and equity in Albany County, Wyoming. They will engage with members of the community which include low-income and at-risk populations to help create a bridge between food producers and consumers. This relationship building will provide a mutually beneficial partnership in the local food system. Community engagement and collaboration will include local farmers, ranchers and local institutions. The VISTA will gather data and stories to help guide the creation and facilitation of the hub. This community led and based effort will set a foundation for the food hub as it becomes a pillar of Albany County and resource for community members and local partners.
