Williamson Housing Authority FEC Coordinator
 
 
 
The Family Enrichment Center (FEC) in Williamson, West Virginia, located in Mingo County, is a site that hosts afterschool programming for children and life skills workshops for adults. We’re looking for an individual to serve as a VISTA that loves people, loves their community and wants to see things pick up and move forward. The VISTA will assist with grant writing, coordinating service projects, building and maintaining community partnerships, coordinating events with our programs, managing volunteers, developing marketing and recruitment materials, and identifying opportunities for family involvement within its programs. Joining the FEC is an opportunity for the member to experience leadership, get involved in the community and make a difference.

Member Duties : While in service, the member in this role would fill the following needs - Establish partnerships with local organizations - Secure funding to continue to support the FEC’s current and future programming - Attending meetings, trainings, and other professional development opportunities as scheduled - Coordinate open houses and assist with providing information to interested individuals - Utilize social media and the press to advertise the FEC’s programming and events - Develop marketing materials for recruitment events - Coordinate service projects - Create and/or identify data tracking methods for volunteers, AmeriCorps members, etc. - Create volunteer sign-up process and paperwork
