KidSpirit VISTA Fundraising and Capacity Building Specialist

KidSpirit's mission is to provide positive youth programming to provide opportunities and training so that youth and student staff build skills, knowledge, and abilities that will help propel them into futures in which they will thrive. We do this through promoting healthy physical activity, science projects, creative arts, and a social-emotional curriculum for youth, ages 2-18, created and delivered by high school and college student staff engaged in an experiential professional development program designed to help them enter the workplace as leaders. Since 1961 KidSpirit has provided youth ages 2-18 with intentional, high-quality, equitable learning activities and camps. Now a part of the Oregon State University Extension and Engagement, KidSpirit is a positive youth development program with the goal of improving health and wellness through mental, physical, emotional, and artistic development. We help youth develop "thriving" characteristics through non-competitive, recreational, and educational activities.
