Public Health AmeriCorps - Substance Use Prevention
 
 
 
Provides substance use prevention and intervention services following program standards and under the direction and supervision of CADC/program supervisor. Implements outreach strategies to connect new referrals to services. Provides crisis intervention services in consultation with program supervisor. Links participants to needed support services in the community. Assists the Visions team with community outreach, case management, development of resources and linkages, preparation and provision of education and materials, and creation of supplementary artistic activities to support the recovery journeys of participants.

Member Duties : 1. Facilities substance use prevention and intervention groups and individual services, under the direction and supervision of CADC. 2. Conducts outreach and engagement to the community. 3. Provides case management to participants. 4. Assists in creating and updating resource materials and building linkages to partner agencies. 5. Assists with community education and disseminates community education materials. 6. Assists with intake of new referrals, prepares materials for evaluations and assessments. 7. Assists in the development of art and music groups to benefit the service population. 8. Participate in AmeriCorps community service events and program awareness campaigns.
