JAG Social Media Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
VISTA members will develop tools and resources to support JAG's ability to engage and sustain partners and new resources. These partnerships are essential to ensure that JAG students successfully engage in employment and/or education upon graduation, there by reducing dependence on public systems during adulthood and decreasing the likelihood they will remain in poverty. Throughout the project year, VISTA members collaborate with both the JAG Marketing and Projects teams and ultimately support the implementation of JAG's career and college readiness. To be successful in this position, a person would benefit from experience-in and enthusiasm for, marketing, sales, communication, media strategies, etc. Basic familiarity with photography, graphic design applications and social media applications is strongly recommended. This position is best suited for a candidate who is an organized self-starter, strong communicator, team-player/collaborator, and a creative-minded strategist, with an interest in marketing/social media and who is passionate about education & youth empowerment.

Member Duties : This JAG VISTA Member will support the overall success of the project by working closely with the JAG Communications Team to maintain and expand JAG’s social media presence. This position will support all aspects of JAG’s social media presence and will become well-versed in using platforms for content creation if they are not already familiar. They will also utilize management software to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of content, as well as to schedule posts to maximize impact. Members will have the opportunity to learn and practice communication and writing skills, as well as data analysis. JAG prioritizes member development as well as accomplishment of key objectives.
