Grace Place's Volunteer Program Developer VISTA
Montrose Grace Place is a grassroots non-profit organization that - above all else - works to provide a safe, welcoming environment for Houston’s unhoused youth and young adults of all sexualities and gender identities. We recognize the disproportionate number of LGBTQ+ youth under 25 years old who are experiencing homelessness compared to the general population, and we tailor our services to be both inclusive and affirming. The VISTA member will help redevelop and expand our existing volunteer program through program evaluation, volunteer recruitment, and development, all of which are essential to the success of our services. In helping Grace Place build our volunteer capacity, this project will create innovative solutions that will strengthen our program’s ability to serve our young beneficiaries so that we can assist in our community’s goal of making youth homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring, while also building alliances.
