25-26 Coweeman Student Success Coordinator
 
 
 
This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding an open until filled. Coweeman Middle School is located in Kelso, WA. We serve over 500 students in 6 - 8 grades. We are a community that is proud to prioritize student needs. We want our students to begin school ready to learn, transition confidently, and graduate ready for college, career, and life. The member will support students who hope to attend college and will be the first in their families to do so. They will collaborate with professional staff to support students in a variety of settings and track student data. We will conduct rolling review of applications and interviews until the position is filled. Monthly stipend amount: $2,571.

Member Duties : The Coweeman Student Success Coordinator will help us increase our support for students who would be the first in their families to attend college. They will collaborate with the AVID team to identify students in need of additional support; tutor students in core academic subjects individually or in small group settings; provide classroom-based support for AVID; direct students during transition times and after school and conduct both formal and informal check ins with students; mentor students to develop essential academic skills such as organization, study habits, goal-setting, and more; collect and track student engagement and achievement data.
