Pre-College Youth Program Specialist
 
 
 
Pre-College Youth Programs is based at Pacific University, located in Washington County and supported within the College of Arts & Services department. The Pre-College Youth Programs at Pacific University is a pilot program and serves to support schools, families, youth, community partners and Pacific students, faculty and staff to assess community assets and needs related to pre-college school year and summer opportunities for student support- using a racial equity lens. The goal of the program is to develop and improve opportunities for K-12 local youth to learn and engage with Pacific University, so that students from backgrounds that have been historically marginalized ,and potential first generation college students, can reach their educational goals.

Member Duties : The Pre-College Youth Programs Specialist AmeriCorps member will serve Pacific University and the surrounding communities of Washington County, Oregon by developing and implementing academic summer programs for local youth. Other duties but not limited to, -Support instructional activities related to student success and engagement strategies -Engage in best practices in K-12 student success and pre-college youth programs
