2023-2024 WFC Communications Lead VISTA

Be Well Free Clinic is operated by Worry Free Community and has two separate locations. One in Oak Lawn, IL, and the other in Glendale Heights, IL. It serves as a point of care for uninsured and underinsured immigrant patients. Leveraging a relationship with a local hospital, they strive to treat the whole person with case management and clinical support. As the clinic grows, they are looking to improve their social media and communications and engage a larger audience.

Member Duties : The Communications Lead VISTA will be responsible for aligning WFC’s communications with its diverse target audience by generating and implementing a communications plan to integrate messaging for WFC’s three main initiatives: Clinic, Health Coverage, and Community Health Worker Training programs that correspond to Cost, Quality, and Access (the triad of healthcare). The plan will include Social Engine, website, and social media and incorporate a wide range of content. Implementation will include defining standardized processes, creating training protocols, and strategizing on how to engage diverse audiences. The VISTA will also work toward automating social media processes and investigate use of AI.
