Member Duties : Analyze the Asian-American Resource Center’s (AARC) existing and previous programs to determine effectiveness and reach regarding community youth.
Create a system for identifying and working with community members as mentors. Research existing teen mentorship programs to help determine mentor requirements, standard operating procedures, and training needs. Develop protocols and processes for working with volunteer mentors, including topics like safety and what the mentorship should accomplish.
Create an outreach plan to market the Teen Mentorship Program to Asian-American and Pacific Islander youth in the Austin area, especially in communities who have been unserved or underserved by AARC in the past.
