UACE Water Resources Research Center
 
 
 
The UArizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC)is seeking AmeriCorps service members with interest and experience in writing about water and/or environmental topics to assist with outreach communication. Applicants are encouraged to visit the WRRC website for more information on WRRC programs and activities. The Water Resources Research Center tackles key water policy and management issues, empower informed decision-making, and enrich understanding through engagement, education, and applied research. Outreach and communications are a central part of our programs. We are seeking motivated service members who wish to contribute to sharing information about water management, policy, use, and research with a wide range of audiences. Outreach strategies include a weekly newsletter, webinars, special events, an annual conference, and invited presentations.

Member Duties : Draft weekly e-news digest (Weekly Wave) stories; Learn Weekly Wave style guidelines and perform Weekly Wave editorial reviews; Assist with event publicity; Assist with other communication and outreach activities; Support communications staff with a range of outreach & communications activities.
