UACE Water Resources Research Center
 
 
 
The U of A Water Resources Research Center is seeking an AmeriCorps Volunteer with interest and experience related to water and/or environmental topics to assist with the Center’s outreach programs. We are particularly interested in applicants with strong writing skills. Applicants are encouraged to visit the WRRC website https://wrrc.arizona.edu/ for more information on WRRC programs and activities. The Water Resources Research Center works to tackle key water policy and management issues, empower informed decision-making, and enrich understanding through engagement, education, and applied research. Outreach and communications are a central part of our programs. We are seeking a motivated AmeriCorps Volunteer who wishes to contribute to sharing information about water management, policy, use, and research with a wide range of audiences. Outreach strategies include but are not limited to a weekly newsletter, webinars, special events, an annual conference, and the production and dissemination of water factsheets.

Member Duties : Draft weekly e-news digest (Weekly Wave) stories https://wrrc.arizona.edu/publications/weekly-wave; Learn Weekly Wave style guidelines and perform Weekly Wave editorial reviews; Assist with event publicity; Assist with other communication and outreach activities; Support communications staff with a range of outreach & communications activities.
