2024 CorpsTHAT Deaf Conservation Crew Program

The goal of this project is to develop a sustainable conservation corps and outdoor education program that focuses on environmental education and job training for the Deaf community. Through this program, youth and young adults will build hands-on learning experiences, job skills and leadership development that will lead them to conservation-related careers upon program completion. Participants connect directly with Deaf outdoor professionals throughout their program which strengthens their networks and expands their future job opportunities. To ensure this program continues to reach the greater Deaf community, the VISTA member will work to expand funding streams, create more efficient ways of collecting and analyzing data to support grant writing and connect with Deaf Educators and outdoor professionals to strengthen program partnerships. www.corpsthat.org
