NYIC VISTA, Comms & Fundraising @ Latino Civic Association
 
 
 
This position is part of the 2024 - 2025 NYIC VISTA program, which is run by the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) and places AmeriCorps VISTAs – referred to as NYIC VISTAs – at nonprofit organizations throughout New York State where they build organizational capacity through communications, fundraising, program development/outreach and/or volunteer management projects. The capacity that they build is then used by their host organizations to advance their work on providing community members with anti-poverty services (e.g., ESL/ESOL, legal, youth, health, housing, employment/career). NYIC VISTAs are supported by the NYIC with several multi-day in-person trainings throughout the year, weekly webinars, monthly check-ins with NYIC staff, ongoing networking opportunities and general support.

Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: Long Beach Latino Civic Association, dba Latino Civic Association (LCA), https://www.lblatinocivic.org. MISSION: LCA empowers the Latino population to become integral members of the community, while embracing both American experiences and distinct Latino cultures. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Fundraising, placed at LCA, will work on fundraising projects (e.g., grant applications, events, donor mailings), and support the development and implementation of new donor and grants management processes, in support of the organization's direct services/programmatic work. SERVICE LOCATION: 670 Long Beach Boulevard, Suite 115, Long Beach, NY 11561. LIVING ALLOWANCE: $29,123.35
