USI will provide housing arrangements to all interested and accepted candidates at the start of VISTA service, for the duration of the term of service. VISTA Members joining the USI team will contribute to: 1) increasing the scale and reach of our program to connect with more students through their assistance to recruit more volunteers and build partnerships; 2) improving the program's effectiveness by conducting evaluations, analyzing data, and providing feedback on program activities; 3) assisting in leveraging resources to diversify our funding portfolio and help strengthen our internal grant management capabilities, policies and procedures; and 4) identifying processes that should be streamlined and assist in capacity building initiatives for staff and volunteers.

Member Duties : This VISTA assignment has an emphasis on advancing organizational systems strengthening activities. The member will contribute to identifying processes that should be streamlined and assist in capacity building initiatives for staff and volunteers. Following a thorough and immersive on-boarding to include 3 site visits fully funded by the Unaccompanied Students Initiative (USI), the VISTA member will have the following duties: 1) identify new systems and develop user manuals; 2) collaborate with staff to update grants management workflow documents; 3) participate in the USI Internal Policy work group; 4) organize and lead 3 community forums; and 5) contribute to fundraising activities to raise $75,000.
