Wake County Grass Roots Support VISTA
 
 
 
The Grassroots Support VISTA will support several partners with specific projects. The goal is for a VISTA to support a small group of grassroots non-profits with key leverage points to move them into a place of more effective models with greater reach in the community. We believe that the organizations addressing root cause issues are integral to the sustainability and long-term success of our community development projects. Many organizations lack the space or time to manage a full-time VISTA member. Our intention is to support these organizations by supervising a VISTA member that can meet frequently with these partners and develop sustainable solutions for their future success.

Member Duties : The VISTA will support a small group of grassroots non-profits. Some illustrative activities that the Member will carry out with partners include: - Create and market tools that are socially viable and useful for populations served by the partner organization. The VISTA will also explore the creation of a Digital Resources App and will support grant writing efforts, procurement of content data and volunteer enrollment activities. - Work with a grassroots education advocacy and parent involvement program that serves disenfranchised families and children. The VISTA will support partnership development, curriculum development, and the development of communications and operational tools. -Work with two BIPOC led organizations that are working to increase fresh produce access with communications and volunteer recruitment and management systems.
