Apple Seeds Nutrition Education Program NWA VISTA ACHC Year1

Apple Seeds inspires healthy living through garden based education. Through programs with schools, afterschool programs, and other partners, Apple Seeds reconnects students with where their food comes from and empowers them to make nutritious food choices. The goal of this project is to continually refine, scale up, and implement Apple Seeds school and garden-based nutrition education programs. These programs and their supporting systems are in partnership with Northwest Arkansas elementary and middle schools with a focus on those schools that reach underserved youth. The expected results of the programs will be an improvement in student's awareness of proper nutrition and changes in behavior with respect to their food choices. We aim to facilitate positive eating habits that persist into adulthood.
