Working in Neighborhoods 2023 Equitable Access VISTA

Working In Neighborhoods’ (WIN) “empowers people to make informed choices for themselves and their neighborhoods through community building, home ownership, and economic learning.” We believe that residents, especially in communities that have been dis-invested and underserved, must have a say in the decision-making process that shapes future development in their neighborhood. WIN’s VISTA member will help residents and community groups in the Beekman St. Corridor implement projects to increase their climate resiliency, improve community health, and attract investment in equitable development in their community. The VISTA’s role will include partnership development, volunteer recruitment, project management, and community outreach to connect residents with resources, training, and technical assistance for neighborhood-led projects and initiatives.
