2023 Summer Program Associate

The Program Associate position will be hosted by Architreasures, located in Chicago. Architreasures is a part of the Housing Action AmeriCorps Network, an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive customized training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Learn more about the program on Housing Action’s website. Architreasures activates communities through the power of art and design. Through partnerships with low-income housing developments and neighborhoods, we deliver community art and design projects and cultural programs that improve common spaces and strengthen social relationships among residents and local stakeholders. The Program Associate will support the Riverdale Creative Cultural Connections (RC3) project, which cultivates community well-being through collaborative art experiences and the co-design of public artwork that celebrates the history, stories, and culture of Chicago’s Riverdale neighborhood and Far Southside Calumet region. They will conduct community outreach and assist staff and artists with the implementation of RC3 workshops and family events. Our ideal candidate is passionate about community arts and motivated to plan creative projects for children and families that bring public art to neighborhoods in Riverdale.
