Cal Poly San Luis Obispo - Student Success and Outreach Coor

The Cal Poly College of Engineering is committed to creating an inclusive college culture where our actions and policies support equitable success and where everyone is valued for being their own unique self. We are looking for someone who is excited about helping us implement this bold vision. The Cal Poly College of Engineering educates over 6000 engineering students enrolled in 14 undergraduate and 10 graduate degrees through an applied to Learn by Doing approach to education. Students participate in more than 80 college clubs and activities. This role is part of the CSU STEM VISTA program. As a member of this cohort, you will take part in a learning community of VISTAs across the California State University system. Our one-year program is designed to promote your growth professionally and personally as you create and enhance programs for STEM students and students enrolled in STEM Teaching credential programs. All projects within CSU STEM VISTA are focused on eliminating race, class, and gender disparities in STEM undergraduate graduation rates and STEM Teaching credential programs. You will be trained to utilize sustainable, asset-based approaches that engage students of color, students from low-income communities, and students who are the first in their families to attend college.
