2023 Digital Harbor Foundation Summer Tech Center Coach
 
 
 
The Tech Coach Corp program for Baltimore City YouthWorkers will provide high school students with valuable skills and experiences in the technology field by learning how to teach others. Participants will then put their developing leadership, teaching, and technology skills to use in real time by facilitating hands-on tech classes for elementary aged students. Founded in 2013, the Tech Center fosters an innovative, community-centered, and fun learning environment through developing and delivering a range of beginning, intermediate, and advanced maker-based STEM education opportunities for Baltimore area youth in grades 1-12. Program offerings increase access to technology, develop critical thinking, problem-solving, entrepreneurial, and teamwork skills, and provide pathways to tech careers.

Member Duties : The Tech Center Coach VISTAS will have a key role in preparing our Tech Coach Corps participants for their summer experience. VISTAs will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coaching the Tech Coach Corps participants in preparation for the elementary classes they will be facilitating. VISTAS will also play a role in assisting with community outreach, special events, and trainings for adults and educators.
