BCCC Student Success Coaching Project

Through Transform Mid-Atlantic (TMA, www.transformmidatlantic.org) and Baltimore City Community College (BCCC), the VISTA Success Coach Project provides non-tutor support and guidance for identified students so they can begin achieving success inside and outside the classroom at the earliest points in their academic careers with BCCC. Project success will be measured through the retention and course completion rates of students who participate in the Project. By the end of the Project, BCCC will have a sustainable Success Coaching Program that improves the likelihood of course completion, retention, and program completion among the targeted students. This Project will assist and guide eligible students enrolling in the Modern Elementary Statistics course. The BCCC Success Coach Project will positively impact the success and retention of participating students, improving course pass rates of Modern Elementary Statistics from 51.5% in 2020 by 5% in 2021; 10% in 2022; 14% in 2023.
