Member Duties : In addition to aiding in the implementation of program, the VISTA will play an integral role in the preparation and conclusion of the program, including graduation. Duties:
Promote the program in the community through various communication, events, and social media efforts (online, newsletter, interviews, essays, videos, etc.).
Collect and organize creative assets for the program, including photos, videos, student artwork, and testimonials from program participants and volunteers.
Support classroom teachers through assistance in academics, enrichment classes, and field trips.
Support project-based learning efforts and programming (particularly in flexible/open parts of the summer day) within and outside the classroom (partnering with the Reading Specialist and Teaching Staff around reading initiatives).
Support in the documentation and organization of program materials, processes, and pedagogical approaches to support the sustainability of the program.
