Stream Teams United: Summer Missouri River Relief
Stream Teams United provides AmeriCorps resources to partner Stream Team organizations throughout the state of Missouri. Missouri River Relief was founded in 2001 and its mission is to engage individuals and communities along the Missouri River in the exploration, enjoyment, restoration and care of the river through hands-on river cleanups, education programs and recreation. The Summer Associate at Missouri River Relief will provide direct service support at Missouri River Relief to assist with summer education programs designed to reach low-income youth with opportunities to experience nature and science-based activities. The Associate will assist with River Relief summer programs including Mornings at the River and the Missouri River Adventure Camp. The Associate will assist with daily education activities and will also help recruit and tailor programs for low-income families in the community. The Associate will also assist River Relief with in-person public outreach events in the community.

Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps Summer Associate with Missouri River Relief, you will assist the Education Director and Education Coordinator with summer programs designed to connect youth to the Missouri River and hands-on water science activities. Join the award winning Stream Team at Missouri River Relief to assist with their summer education programs. The Summer Associate will assist with the Mornings at the River Program for 0-5 year olds, the Missouri River Adventure Camp for middle school students, and at community public outreach events. The Associate will help set up activities, help guide youth and volunteers, and help lead youth in education activities.
