Associate, VISTA Horizons Student Enrichment Program - DCD
 
 
 
This is an AmeriCorps VISTA position and the individual will work directly with the Executive Director of the Horizons at DCD program for a full year of service. This is an opportunity for motivated, committed, and collaborative individuals who are passionate about making a difference and receiving beyond entry-level responsibilities. Because of this, the candidate should have a demonstrated interest in volunteer and community service as well as the desire to take on responsibilities that will challenge themselves and make an impact on the community. The VISTA will be provided with daily breakfast and lunch during the summer and academic year, except for school breaks and DCD days off. The VISTA will be reimbursed for all work related expenses and travel. The VISTA will attend the National Horizons Conference and VISTA retreat (cities TBD) and access professional development and networking opportunities.

Member Duties : Implement creative strategies for fiscal sustainability: grant research/writing/reporting, event planning and donor cultivation/stewardship Use data currently being collected to tell additional stories of impact. Facilitate best practice sharing among Horizons sites in the region through centralized tracking systems, templates, and resources. Research and seek opportunities for establishing collaborative relationships with service providers, associations, or organizations that align with Horizons at DCD work. Develop centralized tracking systems and create a plan for increasing alumni engagement and tracking. Create additional community awareness & marketing for the program Contribute to the development and implementation of an orientation, training & support program for youth volunteers Conduct outreach, coordination, and tracking of special events Collect, compile, and present assessment data and feedback from program constituents
