Volunteer Engagement Coordinator VISTA

**UWKC AmeriCorps members must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the first day of service.** The Volunteer Engagement Vista will rebuild a robust and diverse volunteer community following the significant organizational and community shifts that occurred over the past three years of the pandemic. By building volunteer capacity across the agency, this VISTA assignment supports our priority to maintain, enhance, and build job training pathways for youth and adults through online learning and on-the-job training at FareStart’s social enterprise businesses. This work will subsequently promote economic mobility for individuals impacted by systemic racism, food insecurity, and barriers to employment in King County. This VISTA project fights poverty by building capacity in our Volunteer Department so we can recruit, train, and retain a larger and more diverse volunteer community who will work with our training programs to provide job readiness and self-empowerment curriculum that will have a lasting impact on the economic mobility and personal stability of our program participants.
