TMA MICA Art & Design College Accelerator Program Project
 
 
 
The Art and Design College Accelerator Program (ADCAP) provides a pathway to high-quality art and design college education for Baltimore City students who face financial challenges and are from underserved communities. ADCAP students are recruited from Baltimore City high schools including MICAs partnership with the Baltimore Design School. The ADCAP curriculum provides students with a three year engagement over their sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school that often concludes in admission to the college.

Member Duties : The VISTA will work with MICA's Open Studies Office to define and deploy a plan to expand MICA's peer-to-peer mentoring agenda in support of the ADCAP student success. The VISTA will engage current MICA undergraduates who completed the ADCAP program in a mentorship relationship with current ADCAP students. Work related to the mentorship program will include defining outcomes, establishing planning timelines and a calendar of annual activities, identifying internal MICA partners, and articulating policies, procedures, and systems that support MICA's expansion of the mentorship agenda associated with the ADCAP program.
