*MTCC VISTA WELL Women's Business Center Coordinator

The Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership Labe (WELL) empowers Montana women who aim to be leaders, business owners, executives, or nonprofit directors through virtual communities and courses. The organization offers free business coaching and training programs, as well as facilitating an online community and network of Montana business women. The goal of the project is to increase networks of support and information that the WELL Women’s Business Center (WBC) is able to provide for low-income Montana women who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Ultimately, this project will break the cycle of poverty by delivering entrepreneurial programs to support financial freedom, offer client business coaching, and provide resources to low- income populations across the state of Montana especially rural and indigenous communities. Small businesses are a great way not only for individuals to become financially independent, but to support the economic growth of entire communities. Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for this project. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
