About Us Educational Justice (EJ) is a Louisville-based nonprofit tackling educational inequity by empowering low-income middle school students through one-on-one mentorship and tutoring. High-achieving high schoolers serve as mentors, building meaningful relationships that help young learners overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Join EJ as the Technical Capacity Coordinator VISTA, where you’ll play a key role in two major initiatives: 1. Developing a Virtual Training Platform 2. Enhancing Data Management Systems Key Responsibilities - Develop and curate content for the Virtual Training Platform. - Partner with experts to create training materials and certification processes. - Optimize EJ’s database and analytics tools. - Train staff on enhanced systems and support continuous improvement initiatives. Who Should Apply Ideal candidates are passionate about education, skilled in technology and organization, and eager to empower youth. Preferred Background and Skills - Coursework or degree in Education, Technology, or Data Analytics. - Basic technical skills and familiarity with data tools like Google Sheets and Excel. - Strong organizational, communication, and creative problem-solving skills. - Experience with graphic design, video editing, or virtual training platforms is a plus. - Interest in mentoring, youth development, or education. Requirements - Commitment to the service term. - Passion for addressing educational inequity. Bonus Qualifications - Knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus. Member Duties : 1. Developing a Virtual Training Platform - Collaborate with EJ staff, partners, and contractors to design a certificate-based platform for training high school mentors. - Create engaging materials on topics like mental health, peer tutoring, and youth leadership. - Research hosting platforms and ensure user-friendly, effective delivery of training content. - Equip mentors with the skills to provide exceptional support to EJ Scholars. 2. Enhancing Data Management Systems - Improve tools and processes for capturing, analyzing, and reporting program data. - Support staff in using data to monitor outcomes and refine programs. - Build scalable systems to strengthen EJ’s ability to measure and maximize impact.
