Food Pantry Expansion Coordinator VISTA

Many new immigrant families experience food shortages when they first arrive in this country. This need has been exacerbated due to inflation after COVID-19, especially for nutritious food for their young children and older adults. Salwa Food pantry targets the low income and newly immigrant community members with kids and senior citizens. The Food Pantry Expansion Coordinator will focus on expanding services so community members are stabilized with an eye to be ultimately independent and self-sustaining. In order to attain this goal, the Food Pantry Expansion VISTA will not only expand current food distribution but identify and establish other services and needs so stabilization can occur.
