Our F.A.M.I.L.Y.-Program Development Associate
 
 
 
Our F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Fathers and Mothers Involving Local Youth) develops programs to empower struggling families to improve their quality of life. We develop programs for public schools, libraries and even barber shops to grow appetites for learning. We sponsor science contests and community gardens that teach persons of any age how to grow food and invent something useful. We also make sure they have healthy food for their family through our Summer Food Program and our mobile market delivery service. All of these activities bring people to us to learn about opportunities to improve their own future. Our partner agencies offer assistance with job training, utility bills and legal difficulties. We are the conduit families travel through to a brighter future. We want to expand that conduit so more families can follow their dreams to a life without hunger or financial instability.

Member Duties : On our team, you will be engaged in local food justice efforts and propose creative solutions to unify food security work in our community. If you are passionate about empowering individuals and communities to achieve their goals and live healthier lives, this may be the role for you! We provide our community with safe and creative environments to achieve healthier and more productive lives. As our VISTA, you will ensure that all voices in our neighborhood are heard in discussions about local food security systems. You will strategize ways of building a vibrant and engaged community full of individuals volunteering their time in service of food justice. Critically evaluating the impact of our efforts, you will identify key opportunities for new approaches and initiatives in the fight against foo insecurity. Join our team today! **Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.**
