Eco3.23 Summer CAD Farmers Market VISTA

The Farmers Market VISTA will be involved in all things farmers market while also having the opportunity to cross train in the Mobile Market and gardens. This position could start any time in May. It can be an 8-week, 9-week, or 10-week duration depending on your start date. Community Action Duluth’s mission is to empower and engage our community to eliminate poverty. Individuals and families in the Duluth Community prosper with access to quality education, affordable housing, healthcare, gainful employment and meaningful involvement in civic life. Through partnerships, people with low-incomes find support, resources and relationships that help them overcome economic, racial and cultural barriers to establishing and maintaining self-sufficient and connected lives. The Seeds of Success program has a long history of working to improve food access by empowering people with gardening and cooking skills and creating farmers markets that focus on improving food access in high-barrier neighborhoods. Most recently, SoS has launched a mobile grocery store that pops up in low-income senior centers and other low-access areas of the city.
