Goodwill PHA - Recovery House Coordinator
 
 
 
PHA members will be responsible for implementing evidence-based public health interventions to increase the capacity of public health programs while giving the members the experience and training needed to prepare them for entering the public health workforce upon the completion of their term. The Center for the Advancement of Rural Living is dedicated to supporting Aroostook County, Maine by filling the gaps of needs not currently being met in this unique community. This includes supporting local veterans, people in recovery, arts and culture, and adult education.

Member Duties : The Recovery House Coordinator works as a liaison for our residents to ensure they are connected with and receiving necessary mental and physical health services, including but not limited to MAT (Medically Assisted Treatment) programs, primary care, mental health & SUD (Substance Use Disorder) therapies, case management & employment services. They also ensure a safe and recovery friendly living environment, by ensuring each resident is provided and trained to use Naloxone. They also work diligently to educate and provide residents with harm reduction tools and methods. The overall goal of the position is connecting residents with the necessary tools to transition back to being productive members of the community.
