We’ve merged two proven educational nonprofits to do more for Philly students. Philadelphia Futures and Steppingstone Scholars are now Heights Philadelphia, offering real access to academic and career opportunities through expansive programming and partnerships. From Middle School onward, students get access to academic, workforce, and college supports that break down barriers to propel economic mobility. One-on-on advising. Academic enrichment. Internship opportunities. Financial support. We help each student find a path to success through every step of their lives. Working directly with and in Philly Middle and High Schools, our comprehensive, sequenced programs and services start early in the educational journey preparing student to confidently identify clear pathways to graduation and beyond through: Individualized advising, Summer and weekend programming, College tours & advising, Internships, and career advising & exposure. Heights students leverage our partnerships with area universities and corporations, gaining exposure to college life, workforce pathways, internships, job opportunities, and a multigenerational professional network. College and Career programming includes: Dual Enrollment & credentialing, College guidance, Professional networking events Internships, Stipends & scholarships, Individualized advising, and Resume development & interview preparation. We serve 3,000 students. We have 23 partner schools in the School District of Philadelphia. We have an $11 million operating budget. 75% of students matriculate college and 100% participate in career exploration programs.

Member Duties : The PHENND Fellow at Heights Philadelphia will help to build our organization’s capacity to steward donors, raise money, and retain supporters through the following responsibilities on the Development Team: 1) Grant Coordination (40%) - assist in preparing and submitting grant applications and reports. Tasks include but are not limited to researching, editing, writing documents in Google G Suite and submitting via online portals, typically under tight deadlines. 2) Data Collection and Quality (40%) - help with the collection, input, integrity, and analysis of fundraising data and some program data in Salesforce. Identify data trends and make recommendations based on best practices. 3) Administrative support (20%) - provide assistance with sending donor thank you notes, scheduling, mailings, events, delivery of Advancement materials to program sites . Attend weekly team meeting and one-on-one check in with supervisor.
