PHENND Fellows - School Leaders Communications Coordinator

Philadelphia Academy of School Leaders is a nonprofit organization that cultivates and develops highly skilled and effective school and educational system leaders as difference makers, changing the face of education in Philadelphia and improving students’ lives. Through transformative, results-driven leadership development experiences, we build school and system leaders’ skills and capacity to effect change across systems and drive scholastic achievement in service of our mission: to develop, engage, and retain principals and educational system leaders who transform schools, dramatically improve student outcomes, and drive systemic change to prepare all Philadelphia students for college, career, and life. Through program offerings designed to meet the needs of educational leaders throughout their careers, we serve nearly 180 school and system leaders across educational sectors (district, charter, and faith-based), impacting nearly 100,000 Philadelphia students. Our flagship program is the Neubauer Fellowship in Educational Leadership, a two-year leadership experience for highly effective principals that develops the critical leadership skills needed to elevate school performance and student outcomes.

Member Duties : The VISTA PHENND Fellow will enhance the community, encourage collaboration, and increase engagement of Philadelphia Academy of School Leaders’ program participants, subsequently maximizing impact, specifically by 1) highlighting the work and celebrating successes of program participants; 2) sharing effective strategies and promising practices; 3) providing ongoing learning and growth opportunities and tools to access additional resources; and 4) elevating the voices of the leaders that we serve. Specific duties include drafting website and social media content and features and crafting e-newsletters.
