Health Access Services Summer Associate
 
 
 
Nationalities Service Center (NSC) is a leading provider of comprehensive services for immigrants and refugees in the Philadelphia region. Our mission is to empower immigrants to thrive in our communities and pursue a just future. NSC offers a wide range of expert services including immigration legal representation, health, wellness, and healing support, education and economic empowerment services, and comprehensive services to meet basic needs including food and housing. NSC’s Health Access program provides support to newcomers including access to health care, health insurance enrollment, referrals, health system navigation, and advocacy for clients.

Member Duties : -Assist newcomers with identifying where to go for care and with scheduling medical, dental or behavioral health appointments. -Assist Health Access team members with referrals to health-related supports, such as WIC, a free eyeglasses program, and others. -Complete documentation of health appointments and work with the Health Access team to maintain a weekly schedule of client appointments. -Accompany clients to health appointments to assist with health system navigation.
