Share Food Program VISTA Summer Associate
 
 
 
The National Nurse-Led Care Consortium is in collaboration with Share Food Program. Share Food Program’s mission leads the fight against food insecurity in the Philadelphia region, by serving an expansive, quality partner network of community-based organizations and school districts engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy. AmeriCorps Summer VISTA Associates will have the opportunity to support the organization with activities including food collection and distribution for families experiencing food insecurity, developing relationships with food distribution centers in Philadelphia for community outreach, and help grow healthy produce and care for Share’s Nice Roots Farm.

Member Duties : Support food collection and distribution for families experiencing food insecurity at a variety of Share Food Program locations. Develop relationships with other food distribution centers and organizations to increase community outreach and visibility of Share Food Program initiatives. Develop and maintain data management systems for operations and growth opportunities.
