The Boys & Girls Club mission is “to enable all young people especially those that need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens” The Club provides members with a positive and safe environment. Our programs teach skills and behaviors that will lead to successful adulthood. All Club programs are designed with youth development strategies that support achievement and foster a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness and influence – ingredients proven to build self-confidence and self-esteem. The Club’s youth development strategy seeks the following outcomes: • Positive Self-Identity • Educational, Employment, Emotional and Cultural Competencies • Community and Civic Involvement • Health and Well-Being • A Moral Compass. The Boys & Girls Club offers daily access to a range of programs in three impact areas: Academic Success, Healthy Living and Character and Citizenship. For more information visit www.bgcn.com. The Granite State Education Corps places AmeriCorps members with schools and nonprofits to support youth (grades 4-12) that have been impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Members will mentor youth, prioritize youth voice, encourage problem-solving and listening skills, and help youth explore new things and opportunities to make decisions about what they want to do and how. The end goal is to increase resiliency, develop human capital, and ultimately increase self-sufficiency of the youth.
