2025-2026 Associate, Operations VISTA at Womankind (NYC)
 
 
 
Womankind is an NYC-based nonprofit with 40 years of grassroots experience serving pan-Asian immigrant survivors of gender-based violence. We are working tirelessly to create a future where we Rise Above Violence and our communities can innovate towards collective well-being, restoration, and social justice. In addition to promoting healing and safety through service provision, Womankind promotes gender justice through research, coalition building, policy analysis, and community education and mobilization. The Operations Department is dedicated to creating and enhancing systems that ensure effective service delivery. The goal of the VISTA project is to break the cycle of poverty by improving the efficiency of the Operations Department. By supporting these efforts, the VISTA initiative will lead to quicker response times and higher-quality services across the organization. VISTA will build capacity by enhancing skills in project management, IT troubleshooting, and interpersonal communication. Through improved documentation and streamlined processes, our clients will receive more comprehensive and effective support, ultimately fostering their journey toward self-sufficiency.

Member Duties : The VISTA will support with many tasks, including: Enhancing asset tracking and lifecycle management, through regular updates, data analysis, and detailed documentation; developing comprehensive training materials for staff on new technologies and conducting research on best practices, ensuring that solutions are tailored to departmental needs; creating floor plan templates for community offices and design guidelines, develop staff training on trauma-informed design, and establish a toolkit for best practices; gathering feedback to assess the effectiveness of the residential spaces.
