BCS Refugee Technology Resource Developer- Grand Rapids, MI
 
 
 
This VISTA member supports the resettlement program by procuring donated and refurbished computer devices for adult refugee arrivals. This member will build partnerships with local nonprofits and community members who are willing to donate computer devices. This member also researches existing and creates new resources to increase refugee clients' digital literacy and will create a database that case managers can navigate when educating and supporting their clients on digital literacy and learning. This VISTA member also builds partnerships with local internet service providers and will create guidance resources on how to set up home internet services for case managers to refer to.

Member Duties : This AmeriCorps member will 1.) build partnerships with local nonprofits and community members to procure donated or refurbished computer devices for adult refugee clients, 2.) increase clients' digital literacy and learning through researching existing and creating new digital literacy resources, and 3.) build partnerships with local internet service providers and create guidance resources on how to set up internet services for case managers to refer to.
