Green Careers Dallas - Funds Development - Year 1 VISTA
 
 
 
Green Careers Dallas is breaking the cycle of poverty with the Career Pathway Development project. This project will offer green career training and community education through hands-on solar and energy efficiency workforce training and development. This project will provide a pathway to living-wage work in the growing solar industry empowering low-income neighborhoods with needed skills.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will assist in disrupting the cycle of poverty in the lowest-income areas of Dallas by increasing the funds necessary to support the delivery of the training program. The VISTA member will develop policies and procedures, identify the program's financial needs, and write grants to attain funds to support the programs for GCD. The VISTA member will develop a system to track grant funds, as well as develop and prepare monthly reports that capture all grant activity.
