AmeriCorps Child Care Developer VISTA
 
 
 
Investigate to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging early learning center that effectively supports the diverse needs of farmer's children and families in our community and creates a foundation for children to be able to enter Kindergarten as a lifelong learner and a critically-thinking citizen. This position is responsible for outreach functions, including volunteer engagement, communications and outreach, and community mobilization. The position requires prior community leadership, engagement, marketing and communications, strong public speaking and writing skills, event management, and the ability to recruit, manage, and cultivate volunteer leadership.

Member Duties : 1. Look for Project Feasibility. Have a strong project concept, demonstrate a need in the local market, have enough organizational capacity to take on a time-consuming and ambitious effort, and be able to build sufficient support inside and outside your organization. (25%) 2. Building a Team. Search for the experts and supporters that we need to complete your project, as well as how to select, hire and manage them. (25%) 3. Securing a Site. Investigate for the process of selecting, evaluating and acquiring an appropriate site for the project and getting the permits and approvals needed to proceed. (20%) 4. Search Funding. Determine the cost and how to develop a successful fundraising strategy. (25%) 5. Construction. Outlines the steps in the construction process, problems encounter along the way, and how to resolve them. (5%)
