2023-2024 Grants Development VISTA

This Grants Development VISTA will be hosted by Habitat for Humanity DuPage County & Chicago South Suburbs (HFHDCCSS) located in Wheaton, IL. HFHDCCSS is a part of the Housing Action AmeriCorps Network, an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive customized training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Learn more about the program on Housing Action’s website. Located just outside of Chicago in both urban and suburban service areas, HFHDCCSS is an exciting affiliate to expand your knowledge of and create positive change in the lives of families affected by a wide variety of issues related to housing insecurity. If you are passionate about affordable housing and want to have a direct impact on others while expanding your professional experience, HFHDCCSS is the place to do it. At HFHDCCSS, we provide free housing and utilities, ongoing professional training, and 1-on-1 mentorship in addition to the benefits provided through Housing Action Illinois and the AmeriCorps VISTA program. We are seeking an organized, results-driven individual who wants to learn the ins and outs of grant writing and apply that knowledge toward creating information-gathering systems that will help the affiliate secure grant funds for years to come.
