Stewards VISTA: Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy
Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy (CNPC) is a growing conservancy in a vibrant market. We are the official philanthropic partner for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA) which is the 22nd most visited National Park in the country and host to many community and volunteer events. The CRNRA is made up of 15 park units along 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River National Water Trail. In 2021 the park had 3.3 million visits that included hikers, mountain bikers, fishermen and woman, runners, paddlers, floaters, picnickers, photographers and more. The VISTA will be working directly with the Outreach and Events Manager. CNPC is run by a volunteer board and a staff of one, so the VISTA will be working with everyone in the organization on all aspects of the conservancy including working directly with board members on committees and at events. The VISTA’s office will be at the CRNRA’s headquarters at the Island Ford Park unit where they will be engaging directly with the NPS rangers and interns in a beautiful historic lodge.
