Western Wellness Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Through the Community Builder Program, the Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will assist with development of Best Friend’s Mentoring Program community presence and long-term relationships with volunteers, donors, supporter, and community partnerships. Specific activities will include brainstorming new ways to generate volunteers and donors, assisting with volunteer and donor retention, conduct in-person visits to share program information, sharing information via telephone or email with interested parties, tabling at community events, creating social media posts, transitioning our website, and with the assistance of the executive director developing a diverse and inclusive marketing plan for volunteer and donor retention. Benefits include: living stipend, housing stipend, optional healthcare coverage, relocation assistance, and an education award.

Member Duties : Through the Community Builder Program, the Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will assist with the recruitment and enrollment efforts for volunteer mentors, assist in outreach to local businesses, community networks, service groups, and the general public, and assist with marketing and social to raise awareness and attract attention to the organization and program. Specific activities will include brainstorming new ways to generate volunteers, develop a recruitment strategy, develop volunteer retention plan, assist in the enrollment and management of volunteers, conduct in-person visits to share program information, share information via telephone or email with interested parties, create social media posts, manage the website, and develop a marketing plan and PR materials.
