Western Wellness Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Under the supervision of the Western Wellness Foundation, the Best Friends Mentoring Program is nonprofit mentoring program, serving area youth who would most benefit from an additional source of guidance and support in helping them develop and transition successfully through life's milestones. Children that are referred to this program are carefully matched with an adult or teen mentor; a role-model who dedicates one hour each week to offer consistent guidance, friendship, and encouragement. Benefits include: living stipend, housing stipend, optional healthcare coverage, relocation assistance, and an education award.

Member Duties : Through the Community Builder Program, the Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will assist with the recruitment and enrollment efforts for volunteer mentors, assist in outreach to local businesses, community networks, service groups, and the general public, and assist with marketing and social to raise awareness and attract attention to the organization and program. Specific activities will include brainstorming new ways to generate volunteers, develop a recruitment strategy, develop volunteer retention plan, assist in the enrollment and management of volunteers, conduct in-person visits to share program information, share information via telephone or email with interested parties, create social media posts, manage the website, and develop a marketing plan and PR materials.
