Admissions & Community Outreach Coordinator- More Than Words

Goal of the Project: (Describe the overall capacity building goal and anti-poverty objective of the project during this project year) To focus on organization-wide admissions, community engagement, partnerships, and systems building. The VISTA will support our Admissions Team in the hiring and onboarding process of young adults to the MTW team. The VISTA will collaborate with our Admissions team to focus on addressing the unmet needs of young who apply to MTW and the resources they need to be successful. The VISTA will also collaborate with the Chief of Advocacy and Community Engagement and other department staff to take the lead in building and streamlining a network of community partners and events to support and expand our thoughtful and intentional presence in the communities of the Greater Boston area. This is an in-person role and More Than Words has a COVID-19 vaccination policy in place that requires all staff and service members be full vaccinated and boosted, when eligible, against the virus. Individuals who are not vaccinated due to a sincerely held religious belief, medical reasons, or other legally protected reason are able to apply and be considered for an exemption to this requirement.
