Career Services Education & Employment Coord-More Than Words
 
 
 
Goal of the Project: To help More Than Words’ career services department better serve our graduates. MTW seeks to have 80% of our graduates productively involved in 30+ hours of either employment or post-secondary education (or a combination of two). The VISTA will work in conjunction with other career services managers to further develop educational and employment pathways for MTW graduates to pursue in order to secure living-wage employment. This position will help expand opportunities for MTW graduates so that they are even better prepared upon exiting our core social enterprise program. This position is based on a work schedule that includes working our youth development shifts from 4-8pm on Tuesday nights. This is an in-person role and More Than Words has a COVID-19 vaccination policy in place that requires all staff and service members be full vaccinated and boosted, when eligible, against the virus. Individuals who are not vaccinated due to a sincerely held religious belief, medical reasons, or other legally protected reason are able to apply and be considered for an exemption to this requirement.

Member Duties : The Boston Career Services Coordinator will Collaborate with MTW team members to build a network of partners who can hire our youth or provide them with post-secondary educational opportunities; create better systems so that our grads have easier access to materials (housing, educational opportunities, trainings, etc.).
